Strategic goal
The Friends were formed to promote Lowndes Park to, as wide an audience as possible and to help it to realise it's full potential. With the disappointment of a failed Heritage Fund Lottery Bid the Friends have committed to raise funding for the various elements of the park development plan in whatever format it takes.
The original bid was for just over £1,000,000 so we have a way to go but of course the Town Council has the money that was earmarked for the partnership funding should the bid have been successful.
The Friends will continue to support the park in whatever way it can and will seek the implementation of the Development plan phase by phase as resources become available.
News & Events
Why not come and listen to some great music in the Park this Summer. On a Sunday afternoon during July and August you can experience a variety of music from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Brass Band, R&B, Concert Music etc and all for free. We would recommend you bring a picnic and a deckchair.
