Membership

There are many ways that you can help the Friends of Lowndes Park, but first you should consider becoming a Member. Membership is a nominal £5 per household per annum. This is waived for those 60+ and those under 18. However donations are always welcome from these categories ! Corporate membership is £20 per annum. Please complete an Application Form. This is the main source of income for the Friends.

Working Parties

If you would like to help in a practical way you could join in on our work party sessions that take place on the first Sunday of the month (unless otherwise notified in the News section of the Website) Meet outside the Guide Hut at 10am.

Background Tasks

We are always on the look out for people who can join the executive committee to help with such things as filling out application forms for the funding submissions.

Could you help with fundraising or organise events? Perhaps you have a talent that we could make use of, are you an IT wizard, a keen photographer or maybe you are an ideas person?

If you want to help the park we would love to hear from you there is bound to be a role that you can undertake and a contribution that you can make.

Please contact Michael Rowan for an informal chat on 01494 785146

Corporate support

Perhaps you work for a company that has a social conscience and likes to be seen to support local good causes with money or or other resources. The Friends would be very interested in such support. Again, please contact Michael Rowan on 01494 785146 for an informal discussion.

Legacies

For many residents of Chesham, Lowndes Park is the jewel in the crown. If you have enjoyed the Park in your lifetime, why not consider a bequest to the Friends of Lowndes Park in your will ? This does not need to be a large sum and we will guarantee that it will be used solely for the enhancement of Lowndes Park and for the benefit of the people who use the park.

The Friends are moving the weekend working party to the second Sunday of the month and the next one will be on Sunday 12 February. We hope to be pruning roses, weeding the beds and then take a look to see if the snowdrops we have planted over the last few years are coming through. We meet at 10am in the Archena Garden which is next to the Temperance Hall in Church Street.
