Lowndesbourne 2014 - On or Off?

Below is a message from Michael Rowan:

The big question at the moment is Lowndesbourne 2014 — on or off? The Friends of Lowndes Park (FOLP) are currently £600 short of the minimum we need to go ahead with our third Lowndesbourne. This is an event where we invite the residents of Chesham and Amersham to join us in Lowndes Park to enjoy some opera and classical music. People bring along a picnic and enjoy some beautiful singing in a stunning setting. We have tried to raise the money and we were going to launch our tenor for a tenner in which we asked the local
businesses to give £10 each. However we realise that times are still hard and that they get asked a lot, so we have held off asking them. Unless we raise at least £300 more there is no point in going to local businesses. Given how much time we have left to organise it I think it is looking unlikely but I am keeping fingers crossed. If anyone out there knows of any other opportunities to find the last £600 we might still pull the fat out of the fire, so to speak and we would love to hear from you. You can do this via Contact Us page.
